Day 1: Departure
Everyone meets at Eastern Road, all aboard out new Toyota Land Cruiser or Hilux and we are off to O’Tooles Flats for the night. On the way we will stop off at Walhalla, a historical gold mining town, time for a walk and a little bit of history before we begin to weave our way along Fulton’s Track which is a steep and rocky path leading to Donnelly’s Creek and the very beautiful O’Tooles Camping Ground. This should put the vehicles to the test and might see a few passengers handing on, nothing to worry about and the afternoon can be spent helping build a camp fire or you might prefer to paddle in the creek or find a quiet place to relax.
Lunch, Dinner provided.
Day 2
A cooked breakfast and a wash in the river or a hot shower providing someone kept the camp fire going over night! Packed up and we are ready to go. Time to get nerves of steel as we make out way up the elusive Flat Track, nothing flat about this track. It’s an exciting climb up and over the hill, onto Merringtons Flats for morning tea before we climb out to Sullivan and along the gravel road back to the Thomson River Dam. We will find a pleasant location for lunch on the way home either at Rawson or Erica depending on the weather.
Breakfast, Lunch provided.
